Inward Opening - Alu Clad
Aluminium cladding is fixed to the exposed side of the timber frame and comes in a powder-coated finish to protect the timber and is virtually maintenance-free. Aluminium cladding is available on any inward opening units, to any RAL colour and can have matching extension sills.
The euroline profiles, also known as IV68 (double glazed) or IV78 (triple glazed) are highly durable timber frames with German technology. Our windows and doors are fully factory finished, producing an advanced unit that features optimal 16mm cavities filled with argon gas and low emissivity (Low E) coatings to give the optimum balance of heat loss and solar gain. Coupled with warm edge spacers within the cavities, window U values can be kept low and edge condensation is greatly reduced. This combination results in thermal efficiency values of;
Triple Glazed: overall U-value = 0.9 W/m2k
Double Glazed: overall U-value = 1.4 W/m2K
Key Features
*IV78 Triple glazed unit: (4 – 16 – 4 – 16 – 4)
Low E coatings internally & externally Argon gas to both 16mm cavities & 4mm Clear Toughened glass with Warm edge SwisSpacers to both cavities
*IV68 Double glazed unit: (4 – 16 – 4)
Single Low E coating & Argon filled 16mm cavity between 4mm clear glass with aluminium spacer
*Part L compliant.
*Inward opening allows for ease of cleaning.
*Window can remain open in the tilt position, without compromisng your security.
*Silicone-bedded glazing and dual weather seals within the frame itself; ensure maximum wind and water resistance. Aluminium bottom bead covers stop water collecting at the base of the glass and enhance durability.
*Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) Pure certification is your guarantee that all timber is responsibly sourced, optimises the use of timber and reduces our impact on this natural resource. Frames are available in pine, oak or eucalyptus and all options are certified FSC Pure.
*Our timber is engineered using the latest lamination and finger-joint technology for Pine, while Oak timber is laminated to EN 204 D4. The use of lamination increases stability of the timber virtually eliminates knots or surface defects, while the surface layers are cut to ensure that grain is vertical to the surface, which dramatically reduces the risk of surface movement and splitting. Door and window sashes are comb jointed and the frames are mortice and tenon jointed to BS EN 942.
*All our frames are treated with high quality coatings from Remmers, who are recognised as world leaders in the manufacture of coatings. All Remmers paints and stains are micro-porous and water-based, offering outstanding durability.
We offer a range of stains colours or choose a paint finish from the range of RAL colours.
*For high security windows, we use Siegenia-Aubi tilt and turn locking systems and Gretsch Unitas (GU) for doors, with locking handles. Hinges can be adjusted in three directions, after the unit is
installed and these robust hinges are designed to cope with the additional weight of triple glazed sashes.
*Low level door thresholds with excellent weather resistance come as standard and are Part M compliant, ideal for disabled access.
Optional aluminium extension sills in projections from 50mm up to 320mm for deep recessing
into highly insulated walls.
Optional electronically or mechanically actuated remote opening systems supplied and fitted
*We offer 5 Years warranty on all window elements, including glass unit, fittings, timber,
silicone, gaskets, and finishes.
All units are made to measure and delivery costs are dependent on the whole order.
